Our association: Pro IYPT-CH

The tournament is organized and partially funded by the volunteer association Pro IYPT-CH, which also organizes the Swiss Young Physicists' Tournament and prepares the Swiss team for the IYPT. Find out more on our website.

Meet the Organizing Committee

The Local Organizing Commitee of the IYPT 2026 in Switzerland currently consists of the following members:

Prof. Dr. Andreas Vaterlaus is a full professor for physics and education at ETH Zurich and former vice-rector of ETH. He is also a board member of the association that organizes the Swiss Young Physicists' Tournament (Pro IYPT-CH).

Eric Schertenleib is a member of IYPT's Executive Commitee. He participated in the IYPT himself and now works in the finanical sector.

Malte Uthoff is also a board member of Pro IYPT-CH and one of the coaches of the Swiss team at the IYPT. He is pursing a degree in physics at ETH Zurich.
